Dr. Aerik Williams will discuss Food Allergy 101 and share how Food Oral Immunotherapy can be the difference for children or adults suffering with food sensitivities.
The prevalence of food allergy has significantly increased since the turn of the century. In fact, peanut allergy prevalence has tripled since the year 2000. Reasons for increased prevalence are predominantly environmental. With this being said, recent research has demonstrated that early introduction to food proteins during a child's infancy will help to prevent future sensitization.
