Are you accredited?

Salisbury Academy is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Independent Schools for all grades 3K through 12. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) recognizes SAIS accreditation in determining athletic eligibility for incoming student-athletes.


What type of testing do you administer?

All SA students take the PSAT in their 9th through 11th grade years. Students can elect to take the SAT and/or ACT in their 11th and 12th grade years at SA. Courses are ordered across the four years to assure students have the content knowledge and skills necessary to achieve at the personal best on these assessments.

Courses through Catawba follow Catawba College’s exam schedule. All Catawba classes will include some form of examination at the conclusion of the semester.  


Will my student be able to take Driver’s Education?

Our students complete the classroom and driving portion of Driver’s Education through schools in the Rowan-Salisbury System.  Students must be 14.5 years old to enroll in the course. We will assist you in enrolling when your age permits. Find more information here
 

Is there parking at the Downtown location?

There is ample parking in public lots all within two blocks of our campus. Additionally, students will receive free parking on the Catawba campus when taking courses there.

 

What will the process for lunch be?

We will have lunch catered daily. As students are promoted into the upper grades they will also earn off-campus lunch privileges.
