Engaging Minds. Building Futures.

Damian Brandon, SA Student

(Class of 2019)

When did you begin attending Salisbury Academy?

I began my kindergarten journey in 2011 when Mrs. Ketner was my awesome teacher.

What do you love about SA?

I enjoy getting up for school each weekday. There's a burst of excitement that I have because we do fun things at school. My teacher is nice and helps me to understand my work when I need her help. I have good friends in my class to work and play with. I love the sports and games that we play. We have a great sports team. I love my friends because we are able to joke and play around too during play time.

In what ways have you grown as a whole person – intellectually, physically, and as a student of character – as a result of your Salisbury Academy education?

I have enjoyed working with my teachers each year. They show me that they care about me and encourage me to do my best; just like my mom always says. I love the school field trips. They are fun, fun, fun. We're able to go to some really cool places to learn new things and see some things that we talk about and are also taught in class. I love chapel and sometimes I get to introduce the special guests for chapel. Parents can come to chapel and school to visit us too. I have grown through this and am becoming the best person I can be.

The Salisbury Academy approach to education is experiential. How do you feel your experiential education is preparing you for the future?

I like to be creative. It's really cool that I get to make things and experiment. I know that Salisbury Academy is going to help me as I transition to high school and then to college.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about the time you have spent at Salisbury Academy so far?

I really like Salisbury Academy, and I like my teachers and friends. The Head of School is cool and makes sure we doing what we are supposed to do. Salisbury Academy is a fun school where teachers love the students and students love the teachers. The teachers really put the kids’ education first every day of the week.
