The new, 8,500 square foot building will house all of Salisbury Academy's early education programming: junior kindergarten, kindergarten, and the expansion to a 3-year-old program. Additionally, Salisbury Academy has designed the new building with dedicated spaces for educational support services and programs to promote social, emotional, and mental wellness in our community. Over the coming years, we’ll build more than a new building; we will create a vibrant, connected program that will bring together guest speakers, support groups, and the very best research in wellness for the broader community.
Salisbury Academy desires to provide a hub of support that promotes social, emotional, and mental wellness in our community.
In the areas of the new building dedicated to community connection, we will offer community outreach programs that will include, but are not limited to, parent support groups, site-based specialty services, summer academic support, community seminars, and virtual outreach through blogs, podcasts, and webinars.
These offerings will:
Build awareness for the diversity of needs of learners in our community
Educate parents, community, and educators in the latest methodologies, practices, and knowledge around student support
Provide a hub of support for the most important influence in a learner’s life - the family
Connect resources from research, medicine, and specialty services to our community in a centralized and accessible location
